The EMCD also applies in the EEA-EFTA States (Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway) and Turkey. Therefore, when the terms “European Union”, “Union”, “territory” or ‘Member States’ are used in this Guide, they apply to the EEA-EFTA States (Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway) and Turkey.
