Radiated Immunity test is one of the EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) tests. In some standards, it is called Immunity Against Radiated Fields.
As during all immunity tests, disturbance signal is applied to the Equipment Under Test (EUT). During radiated immunity testing, electric field is generated with RF signal generator, amplifier and compatible antennas. After validating the field in measurement environment, radiated immunity test is performed in the frequency range of applied standard.
For commercial and industrial products, in general, 3 V/m and 10 V/m levels are applied to the products.
For high frequencies, it is hard to generate uniform fields with log-periodic antennas. Thus, horn antennas, which have better directivity, are used over 1 GHz.
