For high-voltage PTC heaters in electric vehicles, the power electronics can produce significant conducted and radiated emissions in the frequency range addressed by CISPR 25. Immunity to transients (ISO 7637-2), ESD (ISO 10605), and radiated RF fields (ISO 11452-2) must also be demonstrated.

Marking Requirements
Heating systems that receive ECE R122 type approval carry an E-mark consisting of:
- The letter “E” followed by the country code of the approving authority (e.g., E1 for Germany, E2 for France)
- The approval number referencing the regulation (R122) and the specific approval sequence
This marking must be permanently affixed to the heating system in a visible location.
